My wife and I stayed at Old Drift last week and have to say it was an incredible experience. The camp is very high quality, as one would expect for a Wild Horizons property. What makes this the best camp on the upper Zambezi though is the staff, super attentive, friendly, client focused. Add highly luxurious accommodation with all the bells and whistles one would expect in a five star urban setting and you get the picture. The fact that our tent had an amazing addition, a star bed, where one could sleep out under the stars and hear the Victoria Falls in the distance and the rippling current of the Zambezi, as well as hippos honking made for an unforgettable night. The food was 5 star, a great selection for all three meals that would suit any diner. Being inside the Zambezi National Park with elephant, lion, buffalo, giraffe and many species of antelope and only 30 minutes from Vic Falls town, yet another massive plus. Birding is another huge plus. This would be the perfect starting point or ending point for a safari.
