Old Drift Lodge sits on the banks of the Zambezi inside the Zambezi National Park, and most days here begin and end on the river.
Your stay includes morning and afternoon game drives through the park, river safaris on the Zambezi and guided walking safaris, all led by our own guides. Walking safaris are for guests aged 16 and over. Away from the lodge, you will join a guided tour of the Victoria Falls, a short drive from the lodge, and have lunch at The Lookout Café on the edge of the Batoka Gorge.
If you would like to add a little more to your stay, the optional adventures below can be arranged through the lodge.
Perched on the edge of the Batoka Gorge, The Lookout Café is one of the most spectacular dining spots near Victoria Falls. Enjoy a freshly prepared gourmet lunch with panoramic views of the gorge and the Zambezi River below - included with every stay at Old Drift Lodge.
Set out on morning and afternoon game drives through the 56,000-hectare Zambezi National Park with experienced safari guides. Spot elephants, buffalo, giraffe, lion and a wealth of birdlife on drives that showcase the very best of a Victoria Falls safari experience.
See the Zambezi from the water on a guided river safari from the lodge. Hippo and crocodile are common, elephant often come down to feed and drink along the banks, and the birdlife on this stretch of the river is rich. Afternoon trips end as the sun sets over the water.
Experience the African bush on foot with an expert-guided walking safari through Zambezi National Park. This immersive, up-close encounter with the landscape and its wildlife offers a perspective you simply can’t get from a vehicle - the sounds, the textures, the thrill of being truly in the wild. Please note: children under 16 cannot participate in walking safaris.
Explore one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World on a guided walking tour, just 4.5 km from the lodge. Your guide will share the fascinating geology, history, and local Tonga culture of the falls while you witness the thundering spectacle of the world’s largest sheet of falling water up close.
