Wild Horizons transfers for all major activities & flights are designed around flight & border operating times.
All our transfers are conducted in Mini Buses and/or Coaches. Our Guide will personally meet your clients with name board that clearly states the client’s name/s. On their journey to town they are given a brief but informative commentary on the area, places to visit and items of special interest. On arrival clients are given a Welcome Pack containing the following:
A Company business card with full contact details and an emergency after-hours number. An Itinerary giving them details of pick up times for their return journey and any tours they may have booked with us. The scheduled departures from the airports refer to flight arrivals and not specific departure times. Guests may experience some delays whilst awaiting other passengers off the same flight that are travelling on the same vehicle. Whilst we try by all means to be on time for airport departures, we sometimes experience delays along the scheduled pick-up routes. Please allow up to 15 minutes for these delays.

Unscheduled Transfers to Kazangula Border, Botswana
Clients will need their Passports and where necessary, a Visa to enter Botswana. Our transfers to and from Botswana are operated at pre-scheduled times and the journey from Victoria Falls to Kasane is approximately 1½ hours. If clients wish to travel at an unscheduled time, the transfer will be treated as “private” and will be charged at a minimum of 4 persons.
Visa fees are not included in any of our rates The clients Visa must be purchased in advance from a Botswana High Commission.

Depart Victoria Falls Kasane: 07h30, 11h00 and 15:30
Depart Kasane at 08:30 for commercial/scheduled flights
Kasane to Victoria falls properties 10:00 and the afternoon scheduled transfers departs Kasane at 15:30
Transfers also run to coincide with scheduled flights to/from Victoria Falls Airport.
Private Transfers
We charge based on a minimum of 4 pax in order to secure a Private Service.
Transfers to Livingstone, Zambia
Clients will need their Passport and where necessary, a Visa to enter Zambia.
Visa fees are not included in any of our rates however clients can buy Visas at the Border and must pay the Dept. of Immigration direct.
Minimum 2 persons
Between 30 minutes and 1 hour depending on how busy the border posts are.
Private Flight Transfer Pick Ups
If we are collecting clients from a private flight, we will offer complimentary transfers to the crew if they are travelling to town at the same time as the Clients. If the Crew need to stay on at the airport to refuel and require a separate transfer, this will be charged at the normal rate. Any bookings for Crew transfers should be advised in advance.

Matetsi Transfers
Transfers from the airport take approximately 1 hour. On arrival at the Matetsi Hub, clients will be met by a Matetsi Game Lodge representative who will continue their journey to either the ‘Safari’ or ‘Water’ Lodge in a game-drive vehicle.

Hwange Transfers
The driving time from Victoria Falls to Hwange Main Camp Gate is between 2 1/2 to 3 hours in duration, depending on factors such as traffic, road blocks and livestock or wild animals upon the roads. As safety is always our first priority, we are careful to remain within the speed limit, which, for public service vehicles is 80 kms per hour.
Due to National Parks regulations, it is not possible to drive within the Hwange National Park after 18h00. In other words, should you be travelling to a camp that is located approximately 2 hours from the main gate, it is necessary to enter the Park gate at a latest time of 16h00 and to leave Victoria Falls at least 3 hours prior to that.
As flight times often conflict with this we encourage all guests to plan accordingly and try to spend one night in Victoria Falls before travelling to Hwange to ensure smooth travel, and account for any flight delays or time spent being processed by immigration on arrival.
Victoria Falls – Hwange – Half Way House Transfers (for Bomani Tented Camp or Camelthorn)
Half Way house is situated approximately 220 kms between Bulawayo and Victoria Falls. The three hour drive from Victoria Falls to Halfway House crosses the Matetsi, Deka and Gwaai Rivers and winds through the scenic village communities of the Nyumbia People within the baobab dotted hills of the Hwange Communal Lands. Onward transfers from Half way House to either Bomani or Camelthorn needs to be booked. These properties are situated approximately 1 1/2 hours from the park gate.
Mlibizi / Kariba Ferry Transfers.
Binga Transfers
This journey takes up to 5 hours – Binga is approximately 320km from Victoria Falls.

Wild Horizons will not be held responsible for clients who miss their flight due to a transfer time change that they have requested, however we will of course advise clients accordingly if we feel they are not giving themselves enough time to check in. Please make your clients aware of this.
Guests booked on scheduled transfers may have to wait for other guests on the same transfer to clear immigration formalities. If you should wish to avoid any wait time you can book one of our private transfers.
