  • Description : The Elephant Encounter offers a rare and immersive opportunity to connect with elephants in their natural habitat. Set within the Wild Horizons Wildlife Sanctuary, a haven for previously orphaned or abandoned elephants, this activity is both enlightening and impactful. The experience begins with a detailed presentation about the rescue, rehabilitation, and reintegration programs that support the sanctuary’s elephants. Guests will gain insights into the threats facing these majestic creatures and the efforts to ensure their survival. Following the introduction, a Professional Guide will lead participants along elephant trails through the bush, offering an up-close encounter with the herd in their protected habitat. The tour concludes with refreshments overlooking the serene Masuwe River.
