Posted on TinaVerified Excellent staff! Beautiful location! Lots of great wildlife at your front door! We spent 3 nights at the Wallow Lodge in February 2026. From the moment we arrived we fell in love. Caleb picked us up at the airport and we were so happy to find that he would be our guide for our entire stay. The man knows EVERYTHING about the area, the animals, the birds, the people and the flora. Taz was the manager we dealt with most….and he was a pleasure. The tent was beautiful and very well equipped. The food plentiful and very yummy.Posted on CarolineCanadaVerified Absolutely fabulous We stayed here for 2 wonderful nights. The room was clean and roomy. The staff very friendly and helpful and the food excellent, with a wide variety of choices at breakfast as well as dinners. In sum, we loved our stay here and would stay again in a flash!Posted on nicky00Verified What an amazing time we had What an amazing time we had at the Wallow Lodge. We stayed for 4 nights. Our room was lovely overlooking the river and ideal for seeing lots of different animals. The staff were out of this world and looked after us so well they could not do enough for us. Our guide Caleb was fantastic. Our first night we arrived we went for a game drive that ended with snacks and drinks at the gorge. We also did the walk with the elephants which was an amazing experience. Victoria Falls was something I will never forget. All meals and drinks we had were beautifully presented and very good quality. We all did not want to leave. Would definitely recommend Wallow Lodge to anyone what an experience we had which we will talk about for years to come.Posted on Toni JVerified A part of my family lives on another continent! A group of four thought that we were in an overflow location from our main party but I can say that we had the best of the best. The lodge highlighted our nature experiences and we able to see and hear a variety of animals daily. The staff was warm, accommodating and made us feel like family. Our meals shared there were delicious and I hugged the chef over his bream preparation. We cried during our farewell and it was not made up. We were sad to say farewell.Posted on Barb MLPVerified Go- just go. A unique place inside a sanctuary: where we found beauty, relaxation and excellent game drives. Victoria Falls is rightly named one of the 7 natural wonders and shouldn’t be missed. The lodge was a perfect place to access all the area had to offer.Posted on Sandra RVerified Crocodiles and Elephants - Wow! Our room was a beautiful and carefully fitted out “tent”, green outside and draped white curtains inside, overlooking a stream of birds, crocodiles, and elephants. Of several southern African locations, this was the closest our accommodation got to wildlife visible from our front porch. A great place to sit and watch and listen if we hadn’t been on our way to other activities. Meals were varied and impressive and a special request of a "typical Zimbabwean meal" was presented to us apparently with pleasure (and enjoyed with pleasure!). Staff seem to enjoy their work and are able to engage with guests who are strangers but for their stay are like long known extended family. We especially enjoyed being with our knowledgeable guide Caleb who seemed as excited by the landscape, animals and vegetation as we were.Posted on Passenger732635Verified Best Holiday This was just what I needed as a solo traveller I never once felt bored or alone. The guided tours were the highlight of my stay. The staff were all helpful, the service was top notch. Room clean and air conditioned, very pleasant because the area is humid. As a light sleeper it was hard falling asleep with sounds from nature since the wall (tent sheets) are thin. But this isn't a problem if you want to hear everything from elephants rumbles, to crocodiles slapping the water.Posted on EJMVerified Awesome Experience My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in October along with our daughter and her husband. Everything was absolutely perfect. The accommodations were really nice, the food was great (and very accommodating if needed), and the facility was unbelievable. The only things that were even better were the wonderful staff and the excursions. Our guide "Land" was fantastic. In fact, the first night we arrived we went for a game drive that ended with cocktails ("sundowners") at the gorge. We are still talking about that experience and its a month later. The sunset, the baboons, the giraffes .... a once in a lifetime experience. The Falls were amazing...but they were outdone by our full day trip to Chobe (as we are still talking about that too). If you have a chance to stay at the Wallow Lodge do so. It's so amazing to be surrounded by nature and wild animals as you take a dip in the pool or while enjoying breakfast, dinner or some drinks.Posted on brucedeb7Verified The Wallow Lodge is fantastic! Our stay at The Wallow Lodge dramatically exceeded our expectations! The whole experience was fantastic. The staff were super attentive, the room/tent was super nice (a fancy hotel room in a wild outdoor environment), the food was delicious and elegantly served, and our game drives were always a treat of close up encounters with amazing animals with interesting commentary from and conversation with our guide. The tour of Victoria Falls and the evening boat cruise were also great with easy, prompt, and courteous transportation and a great experience on each excursion. We were pretty blown away by how nice everything about our stay was and only wish it weren't so far from Southern California so we could do it again on a regular basis.Posted on Global826561Verified Cozy Wallow Lodge The lodge was well maintained and staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our guide Caleb was very knowledgeable and kind. When he realized I was afraid of heights he made sure I was okay and felt safe. He taught us new things about the amazing plants and animals. We really appreciated him. The food was excellent and there were plenty of excellent vegetarian dishes. Staff were excellent and attentive to any of our needs and requests. Tents were like cozy upscale cabins with air conditioning and cozy beds. Animal sounds at night-yes, please. Highly recommend.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
