Booking Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions will apply to all bookings currently in place, new bookings made or existing bookings being amended by any person, whether such booking is a direct booking or made by an Agent or Tour Operator for its clients with Wild Horizons. These booking terms & conditions replace any previous released terms and are applicable with immediate effect.

Wild Horizons Lodge Booking Terms and Conditions:

  • Lodge reservations made outside of 90 days prior to travel will be held provisionally for a maximum of 14 days from date of reservation unless confirmed status is requested and a 20% non-refundable deposit received.
  • Reservations made inside of 60 days prior to arrival will be held provisionally for a maximum of 7 days unless confirmed status is requested and a 20% non-refundable deposit received.
  • Kindly note, unless the above terms are met, we reserve the right to automatically release the reservation.
  • All reservations are to be pre-paid 30 days prior to travel, unless credit facilities are in place.
  • Provisional bookings will be held for 14 days, at which time the reservation will be released, unless Wild Horizons is otherwise notified by the Agent.
  • A booking will only be confirmed by Wild Horizons on receipt of payment, unless credit facilities are in place.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations are only effective on receipt of written notification. All reservations made shall become subject to the cancellation policy once the booking is confirmed.

  • Should a cancellation be received between confirmation and 60 days prior to due arrival date 20% of the contracted rate will be charged.
  • Should a cancellation be received between 59 and 46 days prior to due arrival date 50% of the contracted rate will be charged.
  • Should a cancellation be received 45 or less days prior to due arrival date 100% of the contracted rate will be charged.
  • Cancellations and Confirmations must be in writing by all parties concerned.
  • Please note: Should clients fail to arrive on the due arrival date, or leave before their departure date, no refund will be made.

Excludes:

  • Rainforest Entrance Fees — Tour of the Falls US$ 58.00 per person, payable upon invoice, subject to change
  • Sustainability & Conservation Levy (The Elephant Camp & Old Drift Lodge) — US$ 50.00 per person per night, payable upon invoice, subject to change
  • Helicopter Flight Park Fees — US$ 18.00 per person & Fuel Levy $12.00 per person, payable upon invoice, subject to change
  • River Usage Fee — US$ 12.00 per person, payable upon invoice
  • Chobe National Park Fees — US$ 25.00 per person
  • Wild Horizons Lodge exclusions — as above

Important Notes:

Quoted prices include the Government Tourism Levy at 2% (subject to regulatory change) and are inclusive of VAT on accommodation, meals, and drinks. While we reserve the right to amend prices, all confirmed bookings will be honoured at the agreed rate. Park fees, Sustainability and Conservation Levies will be itemised on the invoice for pre-payment and are subject to change.

Full itineraries for Wild Horizons Lodge Packages are available on request. Please note that packages and special deals are not combinable. We strongly recommend that guests obtain travel insurance covering cancellation and curtailment before confirming a reservation.

Wild Horizons Lodges are unfenced and situated within a wilderness area. Children under 16 should not occupy a room unaccompanied by an adult or older sibling, and children remain the responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times. Please be aware that plunge pools are neither fenced nor supervised by staff. Standard check-in is at 14:00 and check-out at 11:00.

Wild Horizons reserves the right to adjust the order in which properties are visited, subject to availability. Unless a specific property has been requested and confirmed by our reservations team, guests will be accommodated at either The Elephant Camp or The Elephant Camp West based on availability.

Honeymoon Special – Important Note: Our Honeymoon Special applies exclusively to couples celebrating their marriage within six months of their wedding date. Honeymooners may be required to present a copy of their marriage certificate at check-in, confirming the wedding took place no more than six months prior to their stay.
